REUNION STORY OF THE DAY: Levi the lost cat from Auckland Friday 20 April 2018 @ 13:00
"We are just thrilled Levi is now back home again. Our 24 year old son (Levi's best friend), is looking after him as we are overseas.......made the whole process even more stressful for everyone!
Owning a Burmese Cat is like having another child. They are super intelligent and very nosey.
Levi has been part of the family for 9 years and near strays far from home for more than a couple of hours at a time, so for him to disappear for more than a day was very unusual and out of character.
He used every social media page that he could find, Lost Pet Finders, Facebook, trademe, local council page, neighbourly and emailed all the local vets. Door knocking on everyone's door in the area too.
Our son was going to do a poster drop in letterboxes the day Levi returned. He had a really good response from all the various options he used with numerous people calling him with sightings.
One was from a lady two streets over which was surprising for us because as far as we knew he hates cars and would never go near the road!
We were all on an emotional roller coaster. No sleep, tears and feeling like we had had a death in the family. Lots of prayers.
For all of you out there still looking for your lost loved pet, don't give up. Someone must have seen them somewhere within the vicinity of your home.
Good luck to you all." - Janine
